Hey Guys, I have been wanting to make a set of Cartoon like Dungeon Plugin' figures for a while. I was just wondering if anyone had a set in mind that would be obvious to make. Personally I was thinking of a Minotaur and some Beastmen. I can only do the black and white drawings, someone else will have to color them.
I can also make some more heroes? Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, Gnome...etc?
I'll see if you guys can come up with anything better than my ideas over the next week or so, then I'll start work! JIM

I like the Minotaur and Beastmen idea but will be happy to have anything new really. The Minotaur would also match in with Shadowolf's Greeks!
We can always use some more heroes. Someone should be able to color them, and I can post them in the new FanArt section. (I will be adding this section to the website sometime soon!!)
I look forward to what you can come up with!

How about ...
Vampire bats. Rock Beasts that hang from the ceiling like stalagtites. Albino cave monkeys. Rat horde. Gnomes ( but please no red hats! ) The giant toad that lives in the deep wet places of the cave. Majestic Eagles ( one with a crown please ) Dwarves ( totally missing from DP at present ) Fauns Lion men ( I'd love to see these )
... thats all for now.

Good list. I already have some cool dwarf sketches, so they are in. I also have the Minotaur sketched. All Gnomes should have tall pointy red hats! Just kidding It would also be cool to have some cartoony Elementals. And for some reason I want to design a Smurf Hero! Don't forget about the Smurfs. I can design quite a bit of these as just black and white drawings, they don't take that long at all. I'll see if we get more suggestions and design some next weekend. I also have a request. Someone please design a cave corridor dungeon layout simular in art style to the Orc dungeon tiles. They could be brown in color, and think add to the pool of tile options for the game. JIM

At one stage years ago I had drawn up a team of smurf adventurers for a tongue in cheek RPG complete with papa smurf mage caster and hefty smurf wielding dual blacksmith hammers in mail lol.
And for the record...garden gnome adventurers would be awesome ;D
I have added some more DP heroes to my site as well as another sampler of the greeks. I like the rear views of the greek minis so I may have to go back and draw some rear views for the older DP pics.
Regards
Paul

Woof!
The Greek fauns look super good!
A question: I don't know anything at all about ancient Greek military clothing... Do you try to make the minis recognizable as coming from certain areas, or do you wing it? (I have read 300, I get the nod towards Sparta.)
Either way, they look great.

Hehe I was playing on the red cap idea in LoL for the gnomes I thought it would add into the tongue and cheek nature.
Shaun- I have been meaning to write to you for awhile concerning some cave tiles and some new ideas for there use. I will PM you.

The earliest ones were just greek like, but most of the current figs are based on actual armour...like the javelin armed thracian peltasts. A good reference library helps no end.
I have been moving towards the armour of troy and mycenae though as that would be appropriate for Oddyseus and the Illiad.
Got more fauns coming- beserker ones and even Pan himself.
The more I think about it, the cooler smurfs battling garden gnomes seems to be lol.

I'm confused? Shadowolf, can you point me to some of your stuff. I remember seeing them, but can't for the life of me remember where your at. I'll have to add you to the linkages on my front page.
As far as gnomes, we can have the garden gnome kin, then the more traditional cousins of Dwarves kin, like an illusionist. For some reason in the early days all Gnomes were illusionists.
I've been thumbing through the cartooning books I have and can come up with a few more figure types, like a jello-cube, orage flavor maybe. JIM

The Cave tiles are still in development, but I thought I would add the Labyrinth tiles to the Download section. Hopefully these will suit your needs.
