Hello, I've been wondering about this point for quite a while. Months and months in fact, I'm not sure how functional the Dice Chucker damage system is? In the few games I have played I worry that the characters will loose their dice too quick. It has worked well when attacking the monsters because the players have been able to defeat the monsters pretty easily. (and to be honest I didn't make the monsters tough enough.)
So I'm still worrying about it. Perhaps some of you can help me understand that I have little to worry about. After this week I'll be out of school for a month and I want to finish my notes for my Sci fi setting. I hope we can give my ideas a test run here on the message board.
later, C C

Keep this in mind when you are using the DC combat is a hybrid of a traditional rpg ombat system and something more alternate. The idea was to show something new with some familar trappings to make it easier.
Diced Loss is abstract covering everything from true damage, fatigue, to just wanting to give up. If you feel you are losing too many dice in combat try increasing the TNs. Also with DLs and ALs in many cases DL should be reduced to 1 making it harder to damage and be damaged. For Dice Loss Recovery much of the dice lost are fatigue related and can easily be regained with rest.

Yeah, as I was typing my comment I was thinking that I really wasn't considering all the variables. The example in the rules is good. I hope to get to work with the system some more soon.
