Hey
I made a slight change in Quique. StartingHits are dependant on Stamina times 2. However the game is set up so you can have 0 in a Trait. If a player choose 0 in Stamina then they are technically dead. I just at a minimun of 2 Hits.
I ws also thinking about the points used for creating Traits (8). Does this seem to low for starting out? I was thinking maybe of upping it to 10. If so when you averaged everything it would be 1 point in 8 traits and 2 points in 1.

There is no need to change traits. I wrote a system for starting calculations of monsters Nothing Easy (Base) Medium Hard Oh Crap!
I have these on another computer unfourtantly. But its an ever increasing scale for monster diffuculty. I haven't tested it in play unfourtantly but I think that the Oh Crap! monsters will be a very good challenge (and left to beasts such as dragons!)

Found it. Starting "areas" Elements : Nothing : 1 EAsy : 1 Meh : 3 Medium : 6 Hard : 9 Oh Crap! : 12
Traits Nothing : 4 EAsy : 8 Meh : 16 Medium : 24 Hard : 32 Oh Crap! : 40
Bonus Hits
Nothing : +0 EAsy : +0 Meh : +3 Medium :+6 Hard : +9 Oh Crap! :+12
When amking a creature you just make it based off the statistics given. When calculating hits you just add bonus ones. So a oh crap creature with 1 stamina would get 14 HP.
Diffuculty of creatures is doubled. It would take 2 Easy to kill a Meh and one easy would have diffuculty killing a meh. 1 meh would slaughter 2 easy; while it could pretty much annilate 4 nothings.
Its a sliding scale...
