I did up a quick fantasy game to try out Quique with Mythic.
Background
Over 100 years ago, someone released a huge magic storm that engulfed the whole world. No-one knows who it was and they would have been destroyed with its birth anyway. This great storm was called the Cataclysm. Reality was twisted and the world fractured into multi-faceted dimensions. Most of the people in these regions were distorted and changed into creatures that could survive in the altered conditions. However there are still vast areas in the world, that are normal, and inhabited by normal people.
Unfortunately the normal areas are the only places that provide sustenance to any race. Although food and water are available in the other regions, the inhabitants quickly weaken and will die if they rely on it solely. So the normal areas are sought after and controlled by the distorted ones.
The normal people are weak compared to the new creations of this altered world. Some have been enslaved to provide for their masters. Others are the livestock instead. Still a few others are kept safe by the enlightened ones. for they know that only by destroying the denizens of a region, can the region be restored to normality.
The Brotherhood is one of those races. They are slowly rescuing the normals and releasing them into areas they can help defend. The Eldarin and BloodKnights, other Enlightened ones are helping in the quest.
Once the other races have lost their slave force or livestock, they should be easily defeated and the region returned to normal.
Eventually the enlightened Ones will also have to accept death, so that the world will be whole again. (There are some who do not want this to happen, and are striving against it!)
My Character is from the Brotherhood, a race of short powerful creatures created in the Cataclysm. They have the gift of Foresight and can see about 5 seconds into the future as a shadowy image. Fortunately sight is the only sense effected so they are not bombarded with duplicate sensations. They do hate lots of movement though. The Brotherhood have amazing Stamina and can teleport back to their own dimension in a blink of an eye. All these abilities make it very hard to kill one of the Brotherhood, but it can be done if they are blinded or in darkness.

I have gone for a cinematic style for this Quest. Mainly because I wanted to try out the combat and some of the other tasks. Cinematic style allows me to start with something way out and adventurous.
I don't know if I have played it properly, but it seemed to work.
Luckily the first scene went as planned, even though there was a high Chaos factor.
Scene 1
Grimdawn is in small tunnel and can see a light at the end. As he gets closer he pulls out his dagger. He has already foreseen that he will need it to remove the grate that is only now becoming visible against the light.
His first attempt fails but he can hear movement below.
His second attempt succeeds in popping it off, and he quickly catches it before it falls to the ground.
A soft murmuring is coming from below, so he pokes his head out of the tunnel, into a room full of humans. Various reactions are evident on their faces, but most have a look of hope.
Grimdawn grabs the grate and locks it on an angle in the tunnel. He then ties a rope from his waist to the grate before lowering himself into the room. The room is actually a large cell, with some windows on one side and a door on the other. He quickly motions the occupants to climb the rope and escape back to his collegue.
Grimdawn knows that the noise they make will alert the guards. Hopefully he can distract them enough to give his collegue enough time.
Surprisingly, most of the people are out before there is any sign of a guard approaching.
Using his foresight, Grimdawn stands behind the door and stabs the guard as he enters the room. He quickly realizes his mistake as a second guard appears in his foresight. He ducks under the blow he saw coming and stabs the first guard again as he jumps to the center of the room.
The second Orc is massive and obviously more intelligent than his former companion. Even as Grimdawn charges he can see himself flung backwards before he comes within 2 yards of his opponent.
With nothing better to do he throws his sword at the moment just before the force hits him. Orcs have a shadow blow ability. They can move their body and it is as if there is a shadow 2 yards ahead of them that has their same force and momentum. The shadow cannot be hurt but only effects living tissue. Also the shadow only reflects the living tissue of the Orc.
The sword unaffected by the shadow blow hits the orc in the chest. Although harmed it is by no means finished.
Grimdawn foresees it advance close enough for the shadow blow to pummel him. Hoping that he will not need to teleport back and leave his collegue alone. He grabs for a dagger and throws.
The Orc takes it in the eye, but still advances forward and pummels Grimdawn mercilessly. With one dagger left, He throws again. realizing he will have to teleport, if he doesn't succeed!
The Orc collapses as Grimdawn hits the other eye!
He quickly stands up nursing his wounds. He retrieves his sword and cuts off both the orcs heads. Two more that will not be regenerating from their wounds. Putting the heads into a knapsack he grabs the cell keys and helps the last of the prisoners up the rope.
He takes one last look around the cell before climbing the rope himself and entering the tunnel.
Mythic worked really well here for determining the amount of noise the prisoners made and when the guards would arrive. I also used it to see if Grimdawn could successfully decode his foresight.
I added a bit of artistic flair for the damage and wounds as combat is nice and simple (and Quick). The shadow blow ability basically forces characters to use ranged weapons. Because Grimdawn only had a sword and some daggers I improvised with a lower damage ability for the sword. (as it is not designed to be thrown!)
If he comes up against Orcs again, I will need to give him some sort of ranged weapon.
I will allow Grimdawn to use his teleport ability immediately after he has reached zero stamina. To reflect that he foresaw the killing blow. If he is in darkness or blind, then he will need to use it before the reults of a killing blow.
Comments welcome!
