Well as you all know I have the worlds slowest internet connection. I was finally someplace with highspeed and managed to downloads FNH's DP podcast. ;DThanks for such a great review! ;D
His podcast has got me motivate now. So much so that while I am working on DP I listen to the cast over and over to keep me trudging on. I have now completed two colored versions of the wolf for DOR. That know completes the minis for that quest. I have also colored a deamon and gargoyle for the Knocking Door. I will be compiling them with the Devilings and Gremlins and uploading them in the morning. That only leaves imps unfinished and I believe Shaun may have them lying around.
I have also been editting DP trying to remove many of the typos from the document. And I have been brainstorming a layout for it as well for a more final version. The rules still need a note about basing. Especially now with the wolf and deamon being uploaded.
I always intended for certain creatures to have a base larger that 1 tile. The wolf and deamon should really be based on a 1X2 tile-sized base. Others such as dragons may even be larger as they are created.
Something else I have been pondering of late is a point based dungeon creation system so yall can make your own dungeons easier. I am as far as deciding how to determine how many points you get to create with. It is based on average character level. If your heros average level 4 then you would want to create a level 4 dungeon. Each level is then broken down into 3 difficulties: Light, Medium, and Hard(Written as Lv4L, Lv4M, and Lv4H). This determines how fast you characters will make the next level (In this case Lv5). You must play 4 Lv4L games, or 2 Lv4M games, or 1 Lv4H game to reach Lv5. You could also mix and match light and medium games.
I thought I might open it up for discussion. How to figure costs for each of the charts? How to populate the charts? Determine the value in points of monsters, treasure, traps and other tidbits?
