Will there be any other races for characters in DP? (assuming all the current character figures are human). Elves, Dwarves, halflings etc.

I would ove to do some other races all the standards and a few none standards. Though how the rules are set up it is easier to just design new minis.

I know other races aren't specifically included in the rules, but neither are they mentioned as an option. I agree we do not need anything like "Race Traits" etc. just wondering what the original concept was when you created DP?

Exactly as stated I intended the stats to be open enough to encompass pretty much whatever character you envisioned. All that would be needed would be a mini for it. I could see some modifiers to those stats, much like early D&D.
Dwarves cannot have more than 4 in Move.
Elves have a +1 in Magic
...and so on...

Actually I prefer not to have a specific rule but rather a general guideline.
Dwarves are normally slow and have a Move of 4 Elves are highly magical and have extra points allocated to magic
So if you want to have a fast dwarf - 'Thorgrim "Lightning" Thunderbrow" - then you can. If you want a non magical elf, then you can.
It just isn't normal!! (But it can be fun!)

An Elf allergic to magic or a Dwarf allergic to gold. .. Oh the horror!

For instance at character creation Dwarves might get two levels of LIFE per 25 creations points, but it would cost 50 to raise MOVE and MAGIC. Elves might get two levels of MAGIC per 25 creation points, but it would cost 50 to raise ATTACK and LIFE. Halflings might get two levels of DISARM for 25 creation points, but one level of ATTACK and DEFENSE for 50 creation points. This way you COULD make a fast dwarf or a fighting elf, but at a penalty. The same penalties could be carried over into Experience Level-ups, too.

Sounds Good! I was wondering if Oversoul has some quick sketches of what he thinks elves, dwarves etc. will look like in his World?

I have some sketches of both. But I am only set in stone about the dwarves (Get it set in stone...dwarves ;D ;D)
The elves on the other hand I am a little undecided on but I have one I used in a game. I also have some halflings I am set on. Based on the concept of the hobbits, I never have been too fond of the new style. I will get them uploaded soon, buy this weekend...unless something blows up between now and then...

Cool! I look forward to what you have come up with the dwarves and halflings. (And yes I did laugh at "set in stone"!!) For the elves, I have always liked the big eyes, long pointy ears versions. A bit like your Ghoblins in some aspects. The ears go a bit sideways rather than vertical. The chin is pointed and small. However the face is rounded like humans and the eyes have pupils etc. I also like elves being tall and thin rather than short. Anyhow its up to you. It is your realm!!

Well here are some pics in various stages of completion. The first is dwarves: Followed by a female elf.... I am not totally happy with this design and it will definately get reworked! Finally a halfpint...my take on halflings. Both this and the above pics are minis from a DC game I ran online.

Those dwarfs look great!
Put pickelhauben on their heads and blunderbusses in their hands and you got a pseudo preussan techno army for Victorian Steampunk. ;D

I actually like all of them . . . Even the elf. If you get a few of these complete there will be a great variety of heroes for DP. Woohoo!! ;D
