I finished outlining the first lot of Ghoblin Snitches and started the coloring when I came across an issue. I have always wanted to use Greys for the cloaks, but for some reason I made the first set with Greens to match the rest of the Ghoblins. So I decided to come here and put it up for discussion? Grey or Green? And a detailed Image

I like the grey better it is easier to see than the green. From an artistic stand point I would also like to see some brighter colored cloaks.. perhaps a reddish orange. They are ghoblins and their understanding of camo is VERY limited

To answer the original question, I think grey is better than green.
But: I agree with Bobby that a red cloak could look good. Not too bright though... I see them as a dirty lot...

Grey definitely
Colours would be good too but they would need to be subdued or grubby. THe necessary dyes would be very expensive and hard to come by for gobbo's

OK! Looks like I really missed the mark with this one!!! Not that it matters seeing I get your opinions first!! So I did up some red cloaks as well. The first figure is using the same colors I used for the Orc commander's cloak. The second is a "greyer" version of those colors. Personally I like the brighter red. So the questions I have: 1. Do you prefer the red over the grey? 2. Do you think the Command figures should be in red with the normal troops in grey? 3. Which red do you prefer? (Only answer if you liked the red!!)

Personally I like the darker red, in fact it could be more dingy. You could use the brighter red for the commander, that would set him off, but he would look just as good in matching attire with the rest of his SnitcheZ

Yup, more dingy reds would be better. I agree with magpiestear, I didn't think of the dying aspect of the cloth... It would be status to have colour for a gobbo.
So I think my last vote would be; Grey for the troops, and dirty brownish red for the boss...

Hmm, toughy I like both the reds. The first gives them a more cartoonlike character, whilst the second is more realistic. Actually on further looking the first seems to be too much of a contrast to the gobbo green skin. Have to agree with bryn, grey for rank and file, grubby red for the boss!! Red would hinder their abilities to creep up on unsuspecting opponents, grey seems to help them lurk in the shadows. Red for the leader would be alright since he is probably 'leading from the back' anyway. These guys are great Shaun. There's enough to field a complete unit for flat out war as well!!!

Looks like greys with a grubby red commander! Here is a quick preview: Magpiestear: You may notice I added some more normal troops. This is so there are 6 different snitches available for the next set of DP scenarios! (But also gives you 10 troops for an individual front line for fantasy gaming!!)

Thank you for the comments! There are a lot more figures on the drawing board, so all this enthusiasm may get them from the board into the downloads!!!

More Orcs and Ghoblins for starters (different types) but there may be some other things that you will just have to wait for!!!
