I am such a rules junkie! Another idea I have been toying with completely based around beer and pretzels, or soda pop and pretzels. In a nutshell: You make your own stats up and rank them 1-5, When preforming a task chose the most appropriate stat and throw a number of bottle caps equal to that stat's numerical value, EX: stat: 3, throw 3 caps. All caps "face up" count as a success, the more success the better the outcome of the task. GM can require a minimum number of success to a task. I am not sure how I want pretzels to work... Each player gets certain amount, and can spend one to reroll a task....or they can eat them, their choice! I am also work on using the opened beer/soda each player has as hit points of such. Just another late night fast and simple game, dreamed up in madness

Oh! Oh! I have an idea! Now you'd have to be playing with beer because soda wouldn't have the same impact, but what if you wanted a re-roll you had to chug whatever was left in your bottle? ;D

Hello all, I'm still lurking about. I've been in the usual bog of English Lit studies. I've actually been playing some d20 too.
There's some thing familiar about this beer and Pretzels idea. I'm not sure if I've read it some where else or just heard you mention it before Bobby? All-and-all, it doesn't matter. It's a good idea and we'll run with it! I like the idea of the Soda being the hit points!
I had an idea to make an rpg that uses Lego as dice but never figured it out.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all and I'll be around. Chris C

Actually, I think I've just heard the term "beer & pretzels" used to describe any quickie homebrew rpg system.

Well I spent about 5 minutes this morning finishing up the rules. I think I am happy with them It is written so it is longer than Quique but I think it is simplier than Quique, and the feel of it is more relaxed than Dice Chucker. I will start on formatting it but I am not real hurry on it since it is a side project. I will keep yall informed.
