I haven’t printed anything yet but I was looking at the map size & comparing that to the figure size. I did make sure that on the pdf reader it was set to “actual size” setting, so that it would not be scaling the size or otherwise adjusting the image. It looks to me that the map squares are about 1 inch square. (maybe a little less.) The base on the heroes figure seems to be more like 1.5 or 2 inches. Same with the dwarfs & monsters. But the base holders look to be about 1 inch. However on the figures for the tortoise vs. hare they seem to be correct size. Is this some sort of optical allusion between the two sets & bases? I noticed on the pictures on the boardgamegeek.com/image/470676/dungeon-plungin, they seem to match up. However in another picture they do seem to hang over just a little bit. boardgamegeek.com/image/923421/dungeon-plunginIf figures end up bigger then map, I was wondering how this should affect movement & attack range? If the figures take two spaces, but base takes one, Do you count by 2 for the figure or just for the space the base takes up? or are you suppose to scale the print for the figures so that it makes them match the size of the map & base?

Figure sizes are one of those things that are very personal. A lot of people play with full size figures mounted on a 1" base. That follows the trends of other PnP games. Attack and Move ranges use the base size and not the actual figure size.
However, there is a growing movement to print the DP figure pages at 2 per page. This reduces their size to something manageable and makes it easier to move the figures around the board.
Personally, I use full figure sizes and find the overlapping, annoying in some games, so someday when I get the time, I will probably redo the figures to the smaller scale.
I would recommend scaling the figures, but be prepared for some intricate cutting at the smaller size! ;D
You may want to experiment to see what suits you?

Hello Sparkythex! Welcome to the forums! Like Shaun said, it is a personal taste thing. At first, I was really annoyed that characters would stretch their arms, legs and wings all over other character's spaces, so much that I even hacked and edited a lot of Heroes to keep them "contained". Now, I don't care about it so much. DP is "silly" like that, no need to be careful with scales and measures. That said, I do believe shrinking the figures a bit would help. I had done some tests once, scaling down the minis in comparison to its original size and placing them in the 1" square tile: lh4.googleusercontent.com/-T1OYPWBfHG0/SzJXtKlPQCI/AAAAAAAAAnk/4j-Tk0Ek6_s/s600/DPsizetest.jpeg(I'm not sure it will show properly, Google changed a lot of things these days, and my Picasa folders are probably looking weird to everyone but me) Scaling the minis to around 90% would probably be *my* magic number, though bringing it to 80% or even 70% would probably look more "accurate", without being too difficult to cut out (believe me, I tried the 50% reduction, it is like torture trying to cut them with scissors! >.< ). For now, I'll stick to the original sizes... [Edit] Oh, one more thing! I did re-scale the bases to 20mm and made them octagonal (cutting round circles is hard!). It helps a lot to move the figures when their bases aren't touching each other!
