I purchased this just before Christmas. It is a nice simple system but is limited by the number of figures they supply. Special dice are used for combat with a cool card and character sheet mechanism for Hero advancement. I like the Game, but still prefer to play DP for long term gaming. (SDE does not include any campaign rules). And the new version of DP is getting better!

I saw that on BGG and was marveled by the pieces. That game packs a lot of cool stuff, doesn't it? I only wish price+shipping+taxes to import stuff to Brazil wasn't so prohibitive as it is... I like the simplicity of the rules, and the dice mechanics are cool (like you can gain "potions" when you attack, IIRC), but the art is the most attractive part to me. EDIT: by the way, have you guys seen this: www.tomopop.com/mini-dungeon-adventures-the-papercraft-game-25179.phtml

Yes, that DOES seem cool, BUT, I am happy with DP for FREE! I don't know who really can afford $65.00 USD, and be limited to their figures... plus, they have to be painted. A couple reasons I switched to paper. DP is an AWESOME game, and works very smoothly!
I particularly like the "pistol" rules, so you can use this with ANY genre (Western - exploring the bankrobbers hideout; Sci-Fi - exploring a space station that you mysteriously lost contact with... I could go on and on...). That is what makes DP SO freakin' cool!

That Mini Dungeon Adventures thing looks cool. Plus it's rather recent and still in development... Totally worth keeping an eye on it.
