In the One Page Worlds post, I mentioned common attributes, perks and quirks. I was wondering if we could brainstorm and see what sort of things we can come up with in these categories. Don't worry if they are not really "common", the more to choose from the better.
I will start with what I mentioned in the other topic:
Attributes ocean swimming rock climbing stealth search
Perks Brave Charismatic Rich Well connected
Quirks Shy Short Nearsighted Arrogant

I think alot of the common list will be very world dependant. In a western setting horse riding maybe common, while in a modern setting driving might be

Thats why it wouldn't count as common! I guess I didn't really give good examples of what I meant. I meant common as in common to all worlds no matter what setting, not common as in something the character will more than likely have.
Ocean Swimming or Stealth will fit in any world, whether it be fantasy sci-fi or modern. It may not be something useful, but it isn't genre (or world) specific.
A "common" version of your "Horse riding" attribute might be: Beast riding (Beast name) Where the Beast name is determined by genre. Fantasy - Dragon Western - Horse Sci-fi - Jovian Sea Crab Pulp - Triceratops
The same with your Driving skill: Driving (Vehicle) Fantasy - Magic Carpet Western - Carriage Sci-fi - Hovercar Pulp - Motorbike and sidecar
