Just a quick note to ask when you expect to be releasing the first of the Splatball vehicles, next Quarter? Will the vehicles be easy builds, to allow us to quickly get in and play, or more detailed to look good on the table top?

I havea first stage vanilla of the Badger, which I have to tweak and get a basic texture for. I also have the team done for the Balloon Launcher just need to do the weapon and that will be ready. I will do that one first.
My goal is somewhere between quick and detailed. Quick enough to put together in a couple of hours but with some chunkiness to it. It won't be real long, I will be working on that and some TvH stuff intermittenly as I work on DP

Cool!! I was hoping the balloon launcher would be first!! And I was hoping the Badger would be second. Woohoo!BTW I really like the names of the vehicles . They still sound mean and grotty, but not lethal. The battlewagon doesn't fit the mould, but then I suppose it wasn't designed by Newt.

Thanks Iam planning on working all the names that way. Some will be more fierce than others. I wanted the battlewagon to different. It was built before Newt was even on the seen. It will look as different from the rest as it sounds too.
I want the feel of deep history without actually writting one. So I will be throwing bits like the battlewagon in every once in awhile

I was going to put this in another topic, but here is as good as any: The back story for Splatball is brilliant and ties all the units and rules together. You have really captured the soul of backyard battles, whether it be every kid on the block or a spat between those that live this end of the street. There is enough imagination to captivate every school kid's daydreams. Whether it is being the ultimate warrior or the sneakiest spy or just plain smartest guy that everyone looks up to!!
I enjoyed reading the backstory (and unit descriptions) as much as working out and understanding the rules. Thanks

Hey thanks Shaun
Wait a minute! Are you saying I think like a child???
No I am kidding...literally
I kind of had to or this to have come out right. I am glad you picked up on it, shaun it is actually a big deal to me to get that vibe across of what it was like for anyone to play war in your nieghborhood. We never had this cool stuff, but we wanted and I cannot tellyou how many times as a child I played ou fantasies in my head were we did. So a game where it was reality intrigued me. So it is somewhere between those nostalgic battles and 40k. Right where I wanted it.
I am glad you enjoy it as much as I am.
