As I'm playing DP, I'm finding a lot of wierd things aren't covered by the rules.
1. My dice are cursed, and my characters keep getting killed. Can the living heroes loot the bodies (is that an action), or does their stuff get removed from the game as well? Is there any way to revive dead heroes in town? Please?
2. Am I correct in assuming dungeon tiles can't overlap? For example: I open a door and roll a hallway tile on the Location Chart, which has to run from left to right. However, in the mapmaker square right below the hallway there is a room with a door along the top edge. After I set up the hallway, that top door essentially leads to nowhere.
I've just been re-rolling all Location Chart rolls until I get a location that fits with the doors that are already set up. But then, what happens when you approach a door with a known trap from the side opposite the one from which you detected the trap? For example: There are two 6x6 rooms adjacent to each other (left to right), with an unlocked door between them. I have a hero detect a trap on the door in the room on the left. It's a collapsing ceiling. Does that mean the cieling will collapse in the room on the right as well, if I try to open it from that room?
3. Twice tonight, I rolled a room full of ghoblins. The Sneaky law says that the monsters will wait until a hero is standing adjacent to another monster. Well, I was able to kill each ghoblin I attacked on the first try (not that unlikely). Since there was no monster left standing next to a hero on the monsters' turn, they just stood there waiting for me to slaughter them one by one.
This just doesn't seem right to me, am I playing it wrong?
4. Do attack rolls from traps and monsters trigger random events when they roll all 1s and 2s? When a player loses a spell due to a roll of all 1s and 2s, does he/she also make a random event roll?
When checking for wandering monsters upon re-entering a room, does it "interrupt" the hero's action? That is, is it done after the move action is completed or after he enters the first space? Does the monster automatically detect the heroes, and can it attack immediately if it appears right next to one?
5. It looks like movement is the only action that can't be performed twice on a character's turn. Detection can't be tried on the same object more than once per turn by the same hero. Everything else can be done twice on a turn, then?
6. None of the laws actually say whether or not a monster follows up on a pushback attack.
I guess that's it. Just looking for some thoughts on these things.
Oh yeah, and last night, I killed the boss of the Knocking Wall quest with a pit spell, automatically. That's kinda', well, cheap isn't it? I mean, if that character maxes out his magic stat, he'll just walk through the game killing everything in sight.
