Hello everyone,
I have recently discovered Dungeon Plungin', and I have talked to my friends about it, and we are really excited with the possibilities. Me and my friends are about to build a copy to play the game, and we would like to read recommendations about which first Quest to print.
We are also interested in making our own Quests, but I have read on this forum that it's on the way, so I won't ask for it just yet. Just know that you have our support!
Also, since we are Spanish, I might do a rules summary for us in spanish, but if I do it I may share it with you if you are interested.

dig some more in the forums, you'll find the first draft of DYOQ, if you want to get started right away! as for your question, I think I'd go with Knocking the Wall, IIRC it should be the "comes with the rules" quest... either that or any of the level 1 quests anyway

Thanks for the tip! I already discovered the DYOQ draft. I hope the "full" version comes out soon.
In the meanwhile, we will very likely print the Quest you suggested for a start. Any tips regarding on how to print/mount/etc the figures?
Thank you very much.

well, since you're european as me (Italy here), I'll use the decimal system in this post; try printing on a laser printer for economy, since even if the toner can flake away during cutting and scoring (specially on budget printers), IT IS a great save of money... I'd suggest you to print your miniatures on 200g/m^2 paper, without any rescaling from the acrobat reader's menu; then you score the base at the red line, fold, glue and cut the figure; as a finishing touch you can pass a black marker on the outside of the edges of the miniatures - that's what's called "edging" - so that there aren't any white signs on the miniature; trust me, it's a little thing, but it yields great results... you can then proceed basing the minis; from my papercrafting experience, I'd suggest going with foamboard - you can find it at any arts or office store, even if its name changes from place to place, and even from shop to shop (here in Italy I've seen it called Polyplast, Polyplat, and a number of other names ) - on which you glue the bases tile... you can continue doing this for dungeon tiles too... oh, and if you're printing at 100%, use 5mm foamboard; as a side note, I'm engineering all of the stuff I got in order to print and build it at 50%, thus using 3mm foamboard for bases and tiles; I'm also thickening the black borders of all the vertical elements of the game (miniatures, doors and chests) so that black fills any small recess in the models and gives me ease of cutting even with 50% proportions... I think the results are better with this method, but to achieve it you should edit in photoshop all of the images (if not for scaling, at least to thicken the borders), so it's up to you in the end...

Grazie! It's nice to see a fellow European here.
I'll try to get some foamboard to make the dungeon, and thick paper for the figures.
I'll try to build some small foam bases for the figures too. I hope I get some free time so I can mount the game soon.
I have one question about Magic, though. When a direct damage spell (i.e. lightning) is cast, can you target an adjacent figure? I recall reading on this forum that ranged attacks cannot target directly adjacent squares (although there is no mention of that in the manual)
Thank you again.

oh well, I really wouldn't know about that; for one part, magic should be something apart from ranged attacks, so maybe you can cast adjacent to your target... for the other part, I just will wait for word of the officials...

An older version of DP had the rule about ranged attacks not being used against adjacent characters. That rule has been removed for reasons of gameplay. You can attack adjacent characters unless the weapon itself has a special rule that says you cannot. I hope this helps?

I'd say this removes the question altogether...
