That is excellent! I don't suppose you feel like doing an adult Wyvvern also??? As a side note, I am thinking of making monster bases 2" squares instead of 1".

Just a quick note to say I really love the humerous look to the Wyvvern Colt. This is reflected in the pose as well as the general comic style. Even the expression adds something to the whole effect of the figure! Well done! (I am so glad I took some sneak peeks back at this board before going away!)

I'll try my hand on the grown up. That colt is more or less 1:1 size with 300 dpi. I think it fills a 2x2 base just fine. However, I have some difficulties getting my head around fully adult wyvverns crawling around small dungeons... They are more of an 'outdoorsy' enemy to me. Especially with riders.

Think of the Quest taking place in a Wyvvern Lair or Orc Castle rather than a Dungeon or conventional building. Also the maximum you are ever likely to encounter is two at a time!! Thanks for giving it a go!

Looking good, it will be interesting to see larger monsters, but I'm wondering about how 2x2 will work...will a monster that size have any particular special rules or just simply be bigger?

Cool! I love it!
As for large monsters, I suppose an extra square for reach in melee would be enough...

There will not be any special rules for the larger base size. It will give greater access to the Monster from friendly characters though. Summoned creatures can help defeat the Monster without getting in the way of the Heroes. I have actually playtested 2x1 base sizes and we didn't have a problem with them. 2x2 should be about the same!

I had been messing around with a quest where I had a 2x1 boss...an asian themed thing, it's a sumo wrestler. I keep intending to finish it, but I also have kind of been holding off so it will mesh with the most current rules.

Hullo,
I have a finished up a white untextured colt in full 2.5D with a choice of folded or unfolded wings.
I have made a testbuild of it too, but the pics are still in my cell phone.

The Wyvern Colt is done, in full 2.5D www.flickr.com/photos/42373068@N04/sets/72157624813727492/with/4929687819/It is not textured. I feel like a klutz when texturing... So... Feel free to go wild with colours. I am curious what magic Shadowolf, Erf-Beto and Shaun can do... And everyone else too of course. Nobody feel left out, you'hear? I will make mama/papa Wyvern too, and probably texture them all as a family. But I will post a lineart-only of the grown up too.

I love it! I love the concept of 2.5D minis, I think I might have to redo some of my minis (specially the red dragon, which is so big). (by the way, what do you mean about "texturing"?) I'll try to color it in between work today (my PC at home is all bad moody these days ¬¬ )
