Independence Day StarGate Dr Who (All time favorite) Mars Attacks (Don't Run! Obvious OverSoul Cartoon material... IMO...)
How far gone are your 'Alien Hunters', OneMonk? I am eagerly waiting for them.
And lastly; Shadowolf, that is the most gorgeous li'l Alien I have ever seen. I too would like to see more warriors and a Queen.

I have started making up the rest of the designs for the tiles. The checker plate floor will be covering a blue support structure that will be visible through 'acid' holes in the flooring. The hallways will be a mixture of bare support grate and darker checker plate.
I have also started on the doors. Safety Bulheads do not have locks but they can be booby-trapped and/or corroded shut. These are you standard anti-decompression doors to compartmentalize a damaged ship. They are a simple triangular design with a yellow border. Security Bulkheads have locks of some sort (passcode, swipe card, prox card etc.) and usually protect something worthwhile (Power core, Cargo bay, Bridge). They are a simple Square design with a red border.
I will post some images when Finished.

Images as promised! Ordinary Room Room with Acid Holes Ordinary hallway Hallway with Acid Holes Gangway Hallway Safety Bulkhead Security Bulkhead Hopefully this will do the job!? I still have to finish some corners and intersections to complete the whole set. This does not include regen tanks, teleporters or any other special rooms people want done!! Criticisms and comments welcome . . . I guess!!

I love them...especially the acid holes. Those added details stop the place looking too clean.
The security door sparked a memory of obtaining security cards for different doors...red. yellow and blue...like those old fps games like Blake stone etc.
I can just see some desperate salvage techie trying to hack the door systems while his buddies try to hold off advancing aliens, octopoids or space zombies. And what is that scratching coming from beyond the bulkhead?
Great work shaun...think these are your best yet

Well I started on the Alien Gunk floor tiles. I wanted to have something biological but still retain the squares. First was just a normal tile that had some gunk. Then after doing it, I decided to see what a totally gunked tile would look like??? Anyhow Comments and criticisms would be welcome. I like the idea of going against other teams, but you would have to use non-lethal weapons. Maybe Bobby's imoblizing gelatanoues shell launcher would be useful. The target is encased in a protective jelly that supplies sustenance and protection until it starts to melt . . . in 24 hours. More than enough time to get the booty and run!! Some other antagonists could be Pirates (cyborgs?), Recovery Androids (mini - bulldozers, cranes, Trucks) and Rogue Alien salvage teams (Space Dogs or little green men???) Just some ideas to throw around.

Yeah I was thinking non lethal too or sabotage...remember bourke sealing off a door to get away or stun guns. More like dirty tricks than trying to hurt fellow contractors.
Out of interest I wonder what a few colour varieties would look like on the alien tiles like purple etc. Maybe even the repeating pattern with a constantly changing set of hues like a gradient effect across the whole floor.

I thirdly say that the alien is sweet looking!
Maybe the sci-fi version could be called Space Plungin'
Notice that I didn't call it Plug in this time, my brain does work sometimes.
Anyway, there is limitless potential for figures in this cartoony style, don't get me started though, I got my hands full. JIM
Awsome tiles as usual, maybe a round room and curved halls would be cool as well.
The Alien hunters should be done in a week, or by the end of April. JIM

Much better! The Gunk tiles look great in those oily hues. Just maybe a layer of glitter and gloss to show that it is ...um... opposite of dry... Words fail me sometimes...

Nice colours...the little globs do look better with the shine on them...gives them a 3D look which matches the metallic flooring.

Well with a bit of time on my hands I decided to develop more tiles rather than just build the designs I have started. Here is the Regen Tank room There is a 3D cube that represents the regen tanks as well. Here is the yellow teleporter And finally the Med bay. These are all BETAs and so are up for further discussion and comments.
